2023-03-14 The Gift of Speaking in Tongues

The Gift of Speaking in Tongues – One of the spiritual gifts mentioned in the New Testament is the gift of speaking in tongues. Tongue-speaking, or glossolalia, is an individual’s supernatural ability to speak in a language never before learned. Paul wrote the following to the church at Corinth about the existence of such a gift. He put it this way. "For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries."

Rabbi Yuriy was raised in Ukraine a former part of Communist Soviet Union where religion was persecuted. A Bible found Yuriy and Yuriy found God. As a young man Yuriy was forbidden by family from reading the Bible. This only made his hunger worse which led to him to a personal relationship with the Lord.

 

Rabbi Yuriy served congregations in Ukraine before moving to Jacksonville Florida to serve in an assistant role at a local Messianic Synagogue.

Today Rabbi Yuriy serves as senior Rabbi at the Jewish Messianic Congregation of Jacksonville, 7750 Philips Hwy, Jacksonville, FL 32256. This is a vibrant growing body of believers that pray and care for each other in the power of God's Holy Spirit.



The Jewish Messianic Congregation of Jacksonville enjoys worship, teaching, and prayer each Saturday at 10:30 am, followed by a luncheon. - Shabbat shalom - Peaceful Sabbath שַׁבָּת שָׁלוֹם
